Southwest Chicago PADS provides daytime respite for people experiencing homelessness.  This direct service position would give you job experience in social work and nonprofit management.
Centro Communitario Juan Diego provides Spanish speakers the opportunity to serve families in southeast Chicago with basic services such as adult education, after-school programming, clothing distribution, and health education.
Cap Corps volunteers at the Chicago Legal Clinic gain valuable experience as legal assistants.  The clinic provides quality legal representation and advice to low-income individuals and families.  Serve as an assistant to lawyers working on family law, real estate law, Social Security advocacy, immigration law and environmental law.
Maria High School provides an opportunity for a volunteer to gain experience in the field of education through tutoring and mentoring young women.
